How to Configure Email in RecPro
RecPro has the ability to sync up with your email provider to send email without the need for a third party email application. There are three ways email can be configured within RecPro based on your needs.
1. Individual User Accounts
This method requires each staff member to enter their own SMTP credentials to handle email originating from their login. The advantage of this is that email will come from the staffs personal address and therefore they will receive any replies made back to them. There requires more maintenance since each new staff member will have to remember to set this up before they will be able to email from RecPro. Each user will also have to remember to update their email password in RecPro if it ever changes.

2. Server Account
Email can be sent from one master account no matter which staff member or which workstation composes the message. These messages go to an email 'queue' which gets picked up by the RecPro server every 1-5 minutes. The server then sends that queue to your email provider. This method requires much less maintenance since every new user created in RecPro will not need to setup email. That being said, anytime a customer replies to an email generated from RecPro it will go back to the server account and not the staff members personal address.

3. Individual Accounts in Conjunction with a Server Account
You also have the option to combine both methods discussed above. If you enter both individual accounts AND a server account you get various options.
- All staff generated emails use the user email setup configuration to send all email created from their login.
- System notifications, and future dated emails get sent from the server SMTP account.
