How to use GMAIL with RecPro

RecPro has the ability to sync with your GMAIL account to relay e-mail through their SMTP servers.  The following guide will assist you with this configuration.

If you have GMAIL 2-step authentication turned on you will have to follow the steps found here:  https://recpro.helpsite.com/articles/93000-how-to-configure-gmail-2-step-authentication-with-recpro

1.  You must turn on the 'Allow Less Secure Apps' GMAIL setting at https://myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps.  Make sure you are signed into the GMAIL account being used for email relay when going to this page.

NOTE: If you no longer have this setting because Google disabled it, you must use 2-step authentication.  See instructions here for that process.

2. Enter your GMAIL account in RecPro and use the following configuration.

Outgoing Mail Server:  smtp.gmail.com

Port: 587

Enable SSL:  Yes

Username:  Enter GMAIL address

Password:  Enter GMAIL password

Display Name: Type in name you want recipients to see when receiving email from you
