How to Install a Camera
RecPro can be configured to communicate with a USB camera to take customer photos. These are used in conjunction with membership cards and the membership check-in module.
Windows USB cameras compatible with the DirectShow standard will work with RecPro. We have tested and confirmed that the Logitech C922 and C310 models both work without issue. We highly recommend that you install the manufactures Windows driver before continuing with the steps below.
NOTE: Wizmo (Cloud hosted) users or must install the necessary TSWebCam application before continuing. This can be downloaded from here. Once installed reboot the users PC.
Installation
To install, log into RecPro and go to 'Setup' -> 'Device Manager' -> 'Configure Image Device'. Select 'DevExpress'. Press 'OK' to save.
NOTE: If you are using an older twain compatible camera you may select 'Twain' in the setup above. These models sometimes give the user onscreen controls such as zoom in and out. We can not guarantee that these twain cameras will work without issue in RecPro.
Once installed, you can test your camera by taking a photo of a customer. You can do this by opening a customer record under 'Customers' -> 'Customers'. Under the 'Family Members' tab you will find a button labeled 'Acquire Image'. Pressing this will initiate the cameras viewfinder. The photo being taken will be tied to the customer highlighted while pressing 'Acquire Image'.
When opened, line up your subject and press 'Take Picture'. The resulting image will appear on the right hand side of the viewfinder window. Once satisfied with the photo, press 'OK' to save.
Tip: Right clicking on the photo also gives you the ability to 'Cut', 'Copy', 'Paste', 'Delete', 'Load', and 'Save'. You can use the 'Load' option to bring in an image file already saved on your PC.
