How to Refund as Cash

As currently constructed, RecPro only allows refund to 'Cash' if the originating receipt was sone on the current day.  To get around this, you can temporarily change the originating receipt date to the current date and then perform your cash refund.  Afterwards, change the original receipt date back to it's original date.


1.  Change receipt date of original transaction to the current day.  Open the customer under the shopping cart module and go to the 'Payment History' tab.  Highlight the receipt and press 'Change Receipt Date'.



2.  Perform your refund and you should now see 'Cash' as an option for form of payment during checkout.



3.  After completing your refund go back in the customers payment history and change the original transaction back to the date it was originally completed.  This will ensure your financial records stay balanced for that date.
