RecPro Remote Hosting MFA Instructions
In an effort to increase security, RecPro is now requiring Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for remote hosting. Beginning April 2nd, 2024, logins will need to be authenticated on the 1st of each month.
Please follow the instructions shown below.
Sample Error when the Remote Desktop File has Expired
When connecting to RecPro remote desktop, this error (or similar) will be displayed at the time when authentication is required. Your current remote desktop connection will not work and will need to be updated. In order to do this, you must complete the following steps to authenticate your account and retrieve the new remote desktop file.
Instructions
Authenticate User Account
1) Open a web browser (ex. Chrome, Edge) and go to mycloudmfa.com. Enter the username and password that is normally used for your remote desktop login. Press the Log In button.
2) You will see the following message. A message was sent to your email.
3) Then, you will be redirected to this screen and prompted to enter the verification code.
4) Open your email that is associated with your remote hosting account to retrieve the verification code. If you did not receive the message in your inbox, then make sure to check the spam/junk folder. The following is an example of the message that you should receive. If you did not receive an email, then repeat the login as shown in step 1.
5) Go back to your web browser and enter the verification code.
6) If you're in need of a new login shortcut, to go cloud.recprosoftware.com. Enter your user name and password. Otherwise, your existing shortcut will continue to work once you've verified your MFA code. (Optional)
7) Download New Remote Desktop Files (Optional)
Once logged in, you will see the icons for your new remote desktop files. Click on each icon to download. These can be saved to your Windows desktop for future use.
Please note that once you are connected to your remote desktop session, nothing will change for the login used for the RecPro application.
Additional Information
As a reminder, three days before the end of each month you will see the following pop-up.
This is simply letting each user know that on the 1st of the following month, they will need to go back through the MFA process again.
